We are a small family resort situated at the mouth of Rushing River on beautiful Blindfold Lake. We are located off Highway 71 approx 24 km southeast of Kenora or about 120 miles/193 km north of the Canadian-U.S. border at the Fort Frances/International Falls, MN crossing. Watch for the Blindfold Lake Road sign near Rushing River Provincial Park which directs you along a good gravel road 2 km to Tyc’s Blindfold Lake Resort.
The lakefront town of Kenora, just a 20-minute drive from our camp, has much to offer the vacationer: golf courses, a museum, MS Kenora cruise ship, float plane rides, shopping, restaurants, a movie theatre and a variety of special events.
We recognize and deeply appreciate the historic connections of this sacred land. Treaty 3 territory, the land on which we gather, is the traditional territory of Ojibway/Chippewa peoples. We recognize the Indigenous peoples’ who have shaped, strengthened, and contributed to this community, province and country as a whole.
TYC’S BLINDFOLD LAKE RESORT
Blindfold Lake
is in the heart of the Lake of the Woods region. In fact, it feeds into Lake of the Woods through a small railway portage, thereby making both lakes accessible by boat.
Rushing River Provincial Park, with its captivating rapids and breathtaking natural beauty stands out as one of the most picturesque spots in this area. From our resort, the park is a mere 30 minute walk. The park provides sand beaches, playgrounds and many nature trails which are popular family attractions.
